This seminar is concerned with specifying the correct ironmongery for fire and escape doors.
It will help give an understanding of the following topics: the importance of fire and escape doors, why we need them and how to specify the correct ironmongery referring to the appropriate BS EN Standards. It also covers inspection and maintenance of ironmongery on fire and escape doors and the legal, financial and ethical consequences of ignoring the risks regarding correct specification, supply, maintenance and inspection of fire doors.
This course is part of the material assessed by the RIBA for their CPD.
